The BBC has just opened its BBC Moscow Bureau, its largest news operation outside the UK. It is also the largest foreign news operation in Russia.

Almost one hundred staff from BBC Newsgathering, BBC Monitoring and the World Service’s Russian, Central Asian and Caucasian services work in the new joint newsroom.

The bureau has seven radio studios, a tv studio as well as indoor and outdoor live broadcast points.
