Barry Ion and Tony Pilkington will reunite as Baz & Pilko this Friday on FIVEaa as part of a one-off show to raise funds for Variety, The Children’s Charity.
 
The SA radio legends will feature as a part of FIVEaa and Variety’s radiothon that, now in it’s sixth year, has raised over half a million dollars to support children in need.
 
The day will kick off with David Penberthy and Will Goodings for breakfast, Lyon Byner from 9am, and then Baz & Pilko from 12-3pm before Stephen Rowe and Mark Bickley bring the day to a close at 6pm.
 
Barry Ion says, “I haven’t seen Pilko for a few years. The last time I saw him he was trying to talk to Shane Warne about his hair and Jenny Craig about his diet…It will be good to catch up and talk about old times, but I don’t think our memories will go back 20 years all that easily. It’s fantastic to be able to help Variety, they’re a great mob of people doing brilliant things.”
 
Pilko says, “Baz has obviously been listening to the show and has decided that I need a hand. It will be great to catch up and lend a hand for such a great cause.”
