Australian Warner joins Mobius advisors

Commercial Radio Australia’s Chief Executive Joan Warner has been named as one of three media executives from Japan, Italy and Australia recently appointed to the board of advisors for the Mobius Awards.

Mobius operates the Mobius Advertising Awards competition that drew more than 6,000 entries from 35 countries in 2001.

Other new members of the Mobius board are Corinne Burns Bruno, executive producer and Managing Director of Sunflower Production, Rome, Italy, and Hirohisa Sugizaki, Managing Director of Taiyo Kikaku Co., Ltd., Tokyo.

Mobius was founded in 1971 as the U.S. Television Commercials Festival for the recognition of TV commercials. Competitions for radio commercials were then added followed by print advertising and package designs and the name was changed to The Mobius Advertising Awards. An outdoor advertising competition was added in 2001.

Judging is currently under way for the 2002 awards, which will be presented in February in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.
