ARN’s intergrated campaign with Stefan the stool expert

ARN has launched a fully integrated campaign in partnership with Aspen Pharma Pty Ltd, Ogilvy and Bohemiato giving Coloxyl character ‘Stefan’ his very own talk show, ‘On The Schtul With Stefan’.

The ‘talk show’ will see Stefan interviewing five celebrities, including Real Housewives of Sydney’s (RHOS) Lisa Oldfield, Entertainment reporter Richard Reid, and KIIS Network‘s The Thinkergirls – Stacey June and Kristie Mercer, with all video content shared across the KIIS National Network’s social and digital channels.

Though it’s his first time hosting, Stefan has a passion for ‘schtuls’ that he wants to share with his guests, which means the conversation sometimes blurs between the ‘schtuls’ you sit on and, ahem, the other type of stools.

Nothing was off limits as he chatted with RHOS’s Lisa Oldfield, while KIIS’ The Thinkergirls helped Stefan expand his vocabulary to appeal to his millennial audience followed by game of ‘musical schtuls’ that got a little heated.

The campaign kicked off on Monday, June 26 with Lisa Oldfield, followed by KIIS FM’s The Thinkergirls on July 3 and a new celebrity interview released every Monday until the end of July.

Audiences were first introduced Coloxyl’s character ‘Stefan the stool expert’ in May this year, with a campaign across radio, digital, online and point of sale, as a fresh and fun educational approach to make constipation a more accessible topic.

ARN, Aspen Pharma Pty Ltd, Ogilvy and Bohemia partnered to further bring this character to life by creating fun and engaging content in launching the “On the Schtul with Stefan” talk show.

ARN’s Commercial Director Sydney and Brisbane Matt Granger said: “This is a great example of how ARN working in collaboration with partners Aspen Pharma Pty Ltd, Ogilvy and Bohemia creates innovative and entertaining content solutions. Through accessing the KIIS Network’s on-air talent and friends of the station, ‘On the Schtul with Stefan’ is a perfect example of the irreverent, fun and sharable content that integrates seamlessly across the KIIS network’s digital and social platforms.”

Tim Small, brand manager at Aspen Pharma Pty Ltd said: “We’ve loved introducing Stefan the stool expert to Australia, his quirky and engaging manner has helped us build awareness of Coloxyl and make constipation a less uncomfortable topic to talk about. And now in partnership with ARN, we are taking Stefan’s message to a much wider audience, with his new celebrity friends who are all keen to help spread the word about soft, comfy stools.”

Ogilvy CommonHealth’s creative director Toby Pickford said: “We always knew Stefan’s light-hearted delivery of a really important message would make him great for a range of audiences across different mediums and his new talk show ‘On the Schtul with Stefan’ is an excellent example of his versatility. We are pleased that we could work with ARN’s sales, content and digital teams to create this fun, innovative and cheeky integrated campaign.”

Aaron D’Ortona, media manager at Bohemia said: “This campaign has been a fantastic example of client, creative and media working collaboratively from brief to execution to deliver an integrated solution.  ARN have been a true partner across this project, and their collective teams have done a great job in bringing Stefan to life, sharing his love of ‘schtuls’ to the masses.”
