ARN changes

The ARN network is in the midst of changes as the new management team roll out their staffing and programming plans. As a result of the restructuring MIX FM and 2WS have had various staff changes. MIX FM’s drive presenter Rob Duckworth was told after his Monday shift this week that he was no longer required, other staff to be made redundant this week were news reader Jenny May, breakfast presenter David Rymer, long time MIX (and earlier 2UW) employee Trevor Sinclair and producer Jody Pridames. Dave Wright is filling in on breakfast until the new team, expected to be Jason Bowman and Mardi Heggerty (Cole), comes on air.

MIX has also reviewed its shift times – Bogart Torelli will now be on air until 2pm and Solomon Gates will do a 2-7 shift. High rating ‘Love God’ Richard Mercer remains on evenings.

At 2WS the newsroom has also been undergoing some changes with Helen Carbon moving across to present MIX breakfast news, replacing Jenny May, and Troy Deighton being made redundant. The 2WS and MIX newsrooms are expected to cut back the number of bulletins produced in lesser rating timeslots such as afternoons. Lars Pederson will go solo on drive at 2WS with Mardi moving across to MIX.

Changes are also anticipated this week at TTFM.
