ARN and Fairfax Radio Network in new, game-changing partnership

In an exciting new collaboration, music, news and talkback stations from Fairfax Radio Network will soon be added to iHeartRadio, Australian Radio Network’s (ARN) platform as part of a new partnership.

Since launching late in 2013, iHeartRadio has exceeded all expectations with live streaming more than doubling across all ARN radio stations along with more than 460,000 app downloads. The addition of some of Australia’s top music, talk and news stations marks the next stage in the evolution of the platform and is the first time Australian radio stations not owned by ARN will be available on iHeartRadio.

From late October listeners registered with iHeartRadio will be able to tune in to iHeartRadio to hear news and talk back from 2UE (Sydney), 3AW (Melbourne), 4BC (Brisbane) and 6PR (Perth) and digital station NTS. Fairfax’s music and entertainment stations Magic 1278 in Melbourne, Magic 882 in Brisbane and 96fm in Perth will also be available.

Of the partnership, ARN’s CEO Ciaran Davis said, “iHeartRadio is a key part of ARN’s digital offering and we’re always looking for ways to continue to provide great content for our audiences so we are really excited to be able to add some of Australia’s greatest talk back and news stations to our iHeartRadio platform”.

Adam Lang, CEO of Fairfax Radio Network said, “Our stations put the audience at the very centre of our focus and this collaboration with iHeartRadio provides another great platform to engage our listeners. iHeartRadio is another excellent way to reach our listeners, wherever, whenever and however they wish.”

The iHeartRadio mobile app is available for download in the iTunes and Google Play app stores.
