ARIAs to reach Asian listeners via Asia Pop 40

EON Media Group, producers of Asia’s first regionally syndicated radio chart program Asia Pop 40, has partnered with the Australian Recorded Industry Association (ARIA) as Official Asian Radio Partner of The 2014 ARIA Awards Connected By Telstra.

Asia Pop 40 Executive Producer and CEO of EON Media Group, Rob Graham, says, “Australian music is a mainstay of our Asia Pop 40 chart. The ARIAs are the most significant music awards show in the Asia-Pacific Region and we are very excited to be part of the event.”

Throughout 2014, numerous Australian artists have been featured on Asia Pop 40, including Iggy Azalea, Sia, Sheppard, Justice Crew, Guy Sebastian, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Rufus, Vance Joy and many others.

“The current wave of Australian music has reached all over the world, and given our proximity to Asia, it is not surprising that so many Australian artists have found airplay and success in Asia. We are thrilled to have AP40 as our Asian radio partner for the 2014 ARIA Awards,” commented ARIA Chief Executive Officer Dan Rosen.

AP40 will feature the major nominated artists during the weeks leading up to the 2014 ARIA Awards Connected By Telstra, to be held in Sydney on 26 November.

The show will also be sending two lucky listeners to this year’s ceremony with host Dom Lau, courtesy of AirAsia X, including accommodation, VIP Red Carpet access, tickets to the show and exclusive access to the VIP After Party.
