Applications for the COVID-19 Quick Response Grant open today

The COVID-19 Quick Response Grant for community radio stations, announced by CBF President Ian Hamm last week, opens today.
 
This grant the first in a series of measures to help support community stations manage the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and is a one-off opportunity for stations to access funds to help maintain operations under COVID-19 social distancing requirements.
 
The application and reporting processes have been streamlined to make it easy and quick for stations to access these funds.
 

 Who can apply?
Community radio stations that have been on air for the past 24 months
Community radio stations that have no paid employees
 
How much can stations apply for?
Each station can make one application for up to $2000. A total of $200,000 is available for distribution in this grant.
 
What can stations apply for?
You can apply for either or both of the following:

  • purchase of small equipment, software, supplies and costs associated with maintaining operations under COVID-19 social distancing requirements
  • reimbursement for costs related to COVID-19 social distancing requirements incurred since 1 January 2020
