ANZAC Day Broadcasts – Free Audio Downloads

Thursday 24 April, 2003

With Anzac Day tomorrow (April 25) a record number of stations are broadcasting ANZAC Day material supplied by Radiowise (owners of this website).

Funded in Queensland by their ANZAC Day Commemoration Committee and everywhere else by the Australian War Memorial, close to 200 commercial stations are participating.

For stations who have missed out on customised programming from Radiowise, we have made available for download, various short segments (30 - 60 secs). Just go to the Free Downloads section of this site by clicking on the left margin link called Free Audio.

And please take the time to send us an email to say you’re using them: wiseguys@radiowise.com.au

It’s been an eventful year for the Australian Defence Force. First the Bali bombing and now Iraq And we still have peace-keeping troops in Afghanistan and East Timor as well as many other trouble spots around the globe. Radiowise has gathered poignant actuality from each of these events to ensure that this year’s ANZAC Day program series is fresh and up to date.

Most importantly it allows listeners to connect - the way that radio does best - with the young men and women who are willing to risk their lives for their country.

If you would like more information that you could use as show prep in this week leading up to ANZAC Day, then we highly recommend the War Memorial website www.awm.gov.au

When you get there, click on the “Commemoration” button or “Australians at War”.
