Anti-smoking song available for radio

There are more and more young women smoking in Australia. This is a concern for many young women, their families, friends and health professionals.

The “Feeling Good” campaign is in response to this trend and is based on feed back from many young women who smoke, who wanted to quit, but couldn’t see themselves doing it.

The campaign aims to show young women that it can be done and provide information and support to help them quit. The campaign has been tested with a huge media blitz in
Queensland through television, radio, outdoor and print advertising pointing young women to the FeelingGood.com.au website where they can chat to others who are quitting and receive the support they need.

Dog tags designed by acclaimed jewelery designer Kylie Gartside are also available from the website to represent the symbol of the freedom attained by quitting smoking with all proceeds from these and from the sale of the downloadable track going to youth charity Youngcare.

The classic Nina Simone title track has been revitalised for the campaign by Brisbane production team The GoodBoys featuring independent Melbourne artist Mihirangi (Mee-heerung-ee) who brings her unique and soulful world roots styling to the song.

The track is being released nationally to increase the awareness for the Feeling Good
campaign and to give young women the support they need to live a life without smoking.

It will be released for purchase via the FeelingGood.com.au website and
RipIt.com.au on June 12 and is released to Australian radio on June6. It is available for download at the weblink below for only 5 days as of 6th. June.
