New York station WOR 710 has begun trials of the digital radio IBOC system on its AM transmission stream.

New York is viewed as being a good test market for digital radio because traditional AM signals do not carry well amidst all the city buildings and if iBiquity’s AM IBOC succeeds there it will show how beneficial the digital radio system can be.
