Agency launched representing audio content producers

Audiocraft has initiated the launch of an agency representing some of Australia’s “best” audio producers and freelancers for hire.

It claims a disconnect between organisations who want to produce quality audio content, and the highly skilled makers who can meet demand, prompted the initiative and aims to bridge the gap connecting clients with audio production talent. 

The Agency represents producers whose collective experience spans executive producing, audio editing, writing, research, sound design, music composition and project management.

The current roster includes:

  • Bec Fary: producer of the independent podcast SleepTalker, and producer for Better Off Dead (the Wheeler Centre), The Messenger (the Wheeler Centre) and the Dumbo Feather Podcast.

  • Catherine Freyne: an award-winning historian and audio producer with 13 years at the ABC under her belt, where she worked as a researcher, reporter and radio features producer.

  • Camilla Hannan: an expert audio producer and sound designer who works across radio, podcasting, gallery installations and public art projects.

  • Sophie Harper: creator and producer of Not By Accident—an audio documentary series about choosing to become a single mother and coping with —and a highly experienced documentary producer.

  • Jennifer Macey: a journalist and producer with more than 15 years of experience. Her work has aired on the ABC, DW-Radio, BBC and Pacifica Radio, and her podcast work includes This Kid Life (Sydney Opera House) and Follow the Money (Australia Institute).

  • James Milsom: presenter and producer of world-renowned legal podcast series The Rule Book, which echoes his first career as a criminal lawyer. He is also a professional music composer and sound designer.

  • Kate Montague: an experienced producer whose work has featured on ABC RN‘s PocketdocsEarshot and Long Story Short programs; NPR’s Snap Judgement; and online publications such as Narratively.

  • Cinnamon Nippard: a seasoned features producer and writer. Her work has featured on ABC RN and triple j, and international outlets including Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Radio Netherlands, and more.

  • Selena Shannon: Executive Producer of FBi Radio’s All The Best. Her work has featured on ABC RN’s Earshot, FBi Radio’s Backchat, and she has done research for shows including NPR’s The Big Listen and Snap Judgment.

  • Hannah Reich: a radio documentary producer, editor, screenwriter, and researcher who has contributed to The Messenger (the Wheeler Centre), ABC RN’s Earshot, and FBi Radio’s All The Best.

  • Olivia Rosenman: a journalist, broadcaster, and Executive Producer of 2SER’s Fourth Estate. She’s also worked as a reporter in Hong Kong and Australia.
