The schedule for the next lot of AFTRS radio short courses has been released and are as follows:
 

Summer School: Introduction to Radio

In this five-day intensive you’ll learn essential radio skills from experienced radio industry professionals Kate Mac (Triple M, 2DayFM) and Jess Campanaro (2GB) and gain the confidence to begin your career in radio. From roles and responsibilities to announcing and presentation, to editing and studio skills, we’ve got it all covered.

Announcing & Presentation

On-air radio industry professionals Gaby Brown (Triple J, KIIS 1065 FM, WSFM) and Melanie Withnall(2UE, 2SER FM) are the tutors for this practical and inspiring course, where students will acquire invaluable skills and knowledge to enhance and advance their careers.

Voice Over

Just having a great voice is not enough — you need the skills to be able to use it properly. Industry experts Gaby Brown (Triple J) and Simon Harvey will teach you the techniques to get the best out of your voice and get a start in the voice over industry. This two-day intensive course features numerous practical exercises in the AFTRS state-of-the-art Radio studios.

Advanced Voice Over

Take the next step. This two day course over two weekends builds on the skills developed in our Voice Over course and is ideal for those with some experience with professional voice over work to further polish their skills.

CRA ONLINE COURSES

 

CRA Commercial Radio Programming (Online course)

A 34 week, online, comprehensive specialist course created specifically for experienced commercial radio practitioners wanting to step up to a management and programming role. This course provides an understanding of the elements involved in commercial radio programming and requires participants to identify and apply skills and knowledge within a workplace context.

CRA: Creative Craft of Radio Copywriting (Online course)

Looking for some creative inspiration and motivation to pep up your ads and improve the return on the advertiser’s investment? AFTRS Creative Craft of Radio Copywriting is a 12 week online course where participants work collaboratively on real case scenarios.
