AFTRS Alumni are on the move

Grant Maling, a Bidjigal man from LaPerouse Sydney, and AFTRS Graduate Diploma Radio class 2018, has just been promoted from Power FM Muswellbrook, to Workday Announcer and Promotions Manager at WAVE FM Wollongong.

Grant says, “I’m delighted to be at WAVE FM Wollongong! The Training I received at AFTRS is so valuable when you’re not only looking for a start in radio, but also when climbing the industry ladder.”

Dylan Finch has had a consistent career since graduating from AFTRS class in 2013, working in Inverell and Canberra before joining Eagle FM Goulburn. Dylan is now set to take over workdays at Power FM Muswellbrook.

This leaves an opening for Jenna D’Apice co-host of NOVA‘s ‘How to Life Podcast’ and AFTRS class of 2020, to take over from Dylan as the new Eagle FM Announcer and Commercial Production Manager.

Jenna is excited to move from Senior Client Implementation Executive at NOVA to a full-time programming role.

Head of Radio Fyona Smith says, “Our Alumni network remains strong well after graduation. The school has a long history of producing top quality Radio and Podcast graduates who are industry ready. Our curriculum is shaped through regular consultation to align with industry and the anticipated needs of the future.”
