ABC TV Tasmania moves to make room for radio

The ABC is making changes to its television services in Northern Tasmania, which will clear VHF Band 3 and allow the introduction of more radio services.

TV viewers from Wynyard in the East to Gladstone in the West will have their ABC Channel 3 TV service switched off, making way for new ABC and commercial/narrowcast radio services in the region.

Current ABC viewers will have to retune their sets to other ABC transmission frequencies. People with problems receiving an alternate TV transmission can contact the ABC on 1300 139994.
