ABC Radio Adelaide’s lockdown foodbank appeal

With Adelaide in Covid lockdown, ABC Radio Adelaide has had to take its Food Drive online this year.

The station’s presenters have done an good job so far raising $20,000 in the appeal’s first day, but they know they can do better and have appealed to listeners to promote and share their work from home messages during the appeal, leading up to Christmas.

ABC Radio Adelaide and ABC regional radio stations across South Australia are encouraging people  to get on board the Virtual Food Drive by donating what they can online.

Since the COVID situation, Foodbank SA food relief demand has significantly increased, soFoodbank SA needs more help than ever to put meals on the table of those in need this Christmas. Just $1 equals 2 meals

Donations can be made here bit.ly/ABCFoodDrive

For those who can venture out of their homes during the lockdown, Foodbank SA is still collecting real food donations. Listeners can take food to Foodbank SA’s Adelaide location – 377A Cross Road, Edwardstown.
