ABC at the Queenscliff Music Festival

ABC Radio will a part of the 2003 Queenscliff Music Festival with a range of broadcasts and events from Friday 28th until Sunday 30th November, featuring popular performers for adults and children.

ABC Radio National and DIG, the ABC’s internet radio station, will broadcast a variety of artists at the festival live, as well as recording many more for future broadcast. Also, the ABC ‘On the Road Show’ events trailer will be at the festival to showcase ABC Radio, TV and Online services across the weekend.

On Friday night at 7pm, ABC Radio National’s Live on Stage, presented by Paul Petran, broadcasts the first concert from the main stage by the John Butler Trio live to air, with an internet simulcast by DIG. The concert is repeated on Sunday at 4pm on Radio National.

Also on the Friday night, after 9pm The Deep End, presented by Francis Leach, drops in to hear Stephen Cummings and his band from the festival’s main stage.

Music Deli, Live on Stage and DIG are recording concerts including Kerrianne Cox and band, The Whitlams, Troy Cassar-Daley, Mic Conway’s National Junk Band, and Rose Bygrave and band, for broadcast in the coming weeks.

Plus, from the ABC ‘On the Road Show’, Music Deli hosts a concert on Sunday morning with music from Stringmansassy and Jigzag.

All of these activities will coincide with the release of a compilation CD, “Queenscliff Music Festival – ALIVE”, by ABC Music featuring recordings made by Music Deli and Live on Stage at the past three Queenscliff Music Festivals.
