ABC expands regional audio streaming services

ABC has recently expanded its regional live audio streaming services.

As part of the ABC’s Investing in Audiences Strategy which was announced by the ABC’s Managing Director, Michelle Guthrie in March, an expansion of regional live audio (radio) streaming was announced for the following seven locations: VIC: Ballarat, Bendigo, Warrnambool, Horsham and Mildura; and NSW: Port Macquarie and Broken Hill.

These seven new regional radio streams are in addition to the existing 16 streams emanating from ABC stations based in Gold Coast, Newcastle, Alice Springs, Karratha, Kalgoorlie, Launceston, Broome, Longreach, Bunbury, Mt Isa, Cairns, Port Pirie, Dubbo, Sale, Toowoomba and Wodonga.

There are several ways to find our online streams: on the local station websites; on the ABC Radio website: http://abc.net.au/radio and on the ABC Radio app which is available for both iphone or android.

The ABC we will continue to add streams for the remaining stations as funding becomes available.
