96fm wraps up 40 years in 40 days with a car giveaway

On Friday, 96fm Perth celebrated its 40th anniversary milestone with a live broadcast event at Australia’s largest pub, The Camfield, on Perth’s Burswood Peninsula.

Having just completed a whopping 40 Years in 40 Days celebration that included reliving some seriously nostalgic 96fm moments, like a competition to design the perfect ‘Stereo Chair’ for easy FM listening and the amazing 96fm concerts that cost just $1.96, Friday saw friends and listeners of the show join 96fm breakfast hosts Fred Botica and Lisa Shaw for the exciting event.

Special guests in attendance included inaugural West Coast Eagles captain Ross Glendinning, former Fremantle FC player Matthew Pavlich, award-winning TV News reporter Alison Fan, comedian Jon Pinder and 96fm hosts Mark ‘Smiley’ Pascoe and Russell Clarke.

For the past 40 days, one lucky 96fm listener per day has won a Fender Squier Guitar from Concept Music, along with an invite to the event. Then these 40 listeners plus a friend each joined the 96fm team for a celebration that saw one enviable winner, Kim from Oakford take home $40,000 cash and a brand-new Volkswagen T-Roc 140TSI Sport.
