929 celebrates 25 years with a brand revamp

As of Friday the 1st of December, 929 will be known as onefm.

And with a new name comes a clean new look, with a new logo and colour scheme.

It’s still the only commercial radio station in Tamworth, and with sister station 2TM, was the first radio station in town.

Station Manager, Lisa Ashcroft said onefm is the sound of a metro station in a regional country town and therefore needs to continue to be progressive and evolve. Ashcroft said the station wants to celebrate its longevity in the community by doing something new and exciting.

To celebrate the launch of the new brand and to kick off the festive season, the One Very Merry Christmas Party on Friday December 15 will funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, at Hopscotch Café and Bar with live music and a performance by specials guests Sally-Anne Whitten and Kevin Anderson.

Food and drinks will be available, as well as balloons, glow sticks, face painting, and the playground and water play park open for the kids. Tune into the same frequency on the dial for all the best music, talk back, and giveaways.
