774 ABC Melbourne Thanks Anzac Heroes

774 ABC Melbourne is continuing its Anzac Day commitment, with increased coverage of the main memorial events, extra RSL support and encouragement for people to attend the Dawn Service and Anzac March.

From 5.30am this Sunday, ABC radio will again provide Victoria’s only ‘live’ broadcast of the Dawn Service, Anzac Day March and Memorial service from Flinders Street, St Kilda Road and The Shrine of Remembrance.

All 774 ABC Melbourne presenters – Red Symons, Jon Faine, Lynne Haultain, Virginia Trioli, Derek Guille and Peter Clarke – will broadcast from the Shrine in what is the station’s biggest annual OB event each year.

This Friday (23 April), 774 ABC Melbourne will cover the Legacy Memorial ‘live’ from the Shrine at 11am, and take calls from RSL clubs and committees to publicise reunions.

The special Anzac Day broadcast includes what is billed as an “extraordinary AFL tribute to the Anzacs” ‘live’ from the MCG, followed by Grandstand’s coverage of Collingwood Vs Essendon.
