4BH Transmitter attack – suspects charged

Two 17 year old men have appeared in Brisbane District Court charged with three counts of malicious damage to 4BH’s transmitter facilities.

The two were remanded until December 3 and could face up to 7 years imprisonment under the Federal Communications Act and State Laws.

The police said “it was a prank gone wrong.”

4BH owner, DMG, is facing a bill of $1.8 million dollars to fix the towers and transmitters, which were cut down in the “prank” several months ago. 4BH has been broadcasting from an alternative location since the vandalism and is expected to have to wait several more months until its main transmitter site is back up and running again.
