4BH making easy changes

Pete Rudder has joined 4BH as part of the subtle changes taking place at the station. He will host Drive. Rudder previously worked in high profile shifts at 2CH, 2UW, in Sydney and also in Melbourne. He had moved to the Gold Coast and was contracted to the Shopping Channel when 4BH tapped him on the shoulder recently.

Since DMG bought the station from ARN last year it has been under the guidance of DMG Corporate Liaison Executive Mark Spurway, who has a programming and general management background. Spurway has subtly repositioned the station from the older and slower ‘Easy Listening 4BH’ to a more contemporary lifestyle music format reflected by the positioning statement ‘Easy 882, Brisbane’s 4BH.’

“It demonstrates DMG’s commitment to the AM product,” Spurway told AMT. “We have just run our first cash giveaway contest in years and we have replaced the old fashioned Easy Listening tag with a slightly different phrase, which still gives us ownership of the ‘Easy’ image but also puts the focus on where we are on the dial and our heritage image in this city.”
