4BH announces new breakfast team

4BH has announced the station will get a new breakfast team – Kim Mothershaw and Liesa Sheehan.

“Brisbane Breakfast Radio’s newest act” will take over the reigns from Greg Victor next month.

Kim Mothershaw, has worked in some of the city’s most successful breakfast duos in recent years, most recently at 4KQ with Laurel Edwards.

After taking an eight month break from radio, Mothershaw has “recharged his batteries” and is ready to take up the challenge of working with 4BH. “After taking time out, I found the opportunity to return to Breakfast radio on 4BH irresistible and I can’t wait to start on-air on 30 June,” said Mothershaw.

His new partner Leisa Sheehan is “one of the new exciting female talents on Brisbane radio,” according to Mothershaw. Leisa has most recently been working on the Breakfast shift at Triple M. The pair teamed up after a recent social meeting over coffee.

Sheehan said:“I’m extremely excited about the opportunity of being an integral part of the new Breakfast team at 4BH and working with someone of the calibre and experience of Kim Mothershaw.”

4BH General Manager David McDonald told radioinfo: “To some extent 4BH has become the forgotten radio station here in Brisbane, particularly in recent times since the vandilisation of the transmitter mast.

We are hopeful that the 4BH transmitter will be resurrected shortly and once again give 4BH full coverage of the Brisbane market which it is entitled to have. It’s long overdue. The resurrection of 4BH’s mast will give Brisbane listeners the opportunity to be informed and entertained by this refreshing and contemporary new Breakfast duo, Kim and Leisa on 4BH.”
