2UE will host its second annual Christmas Appeal for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead on November 19th.
The Appeal will kick off with a live broadcast from the hospital with Breakfast team John Stanley and Garry Linnell at 5.00am and will be followed by live broadcasts from the Mornings, Afternoons and Drive presenters. Drive’s Justin Smith will wrap up the appeal and announce the final tally at 6.00pm.
The Appeal will feature guests and celebrities including Seven Network’s Bonnie Sveen from Home and Away plus other stars including Jim Wilson, Mark Ferguson, Sarah Cumming and Dr Andrew Rochford.
There will also be musical performances on the day by 2014 X Factor winner Marlisa, plus Christine Anu and Jenny Queen.
Among other activities planned, there will be appearances by GWS Giants players and NRL players, plus a raffle with one big prize valued at more than $13,000 with tickets on sale and the raffle drawn on the day.
“Our inaugural Christmas Appeal last year for the Children’s Hospital was a huge success, raising $837,000 in donations. We’re hoping this year’s Appeal is bigger and better because it’s such a fantastic cause,” 2UE Content Director Clinton Maynard said.
