2TM celebrated it’s 85th birthday on the 27th of February 2020 and as part of the celebrations, the station arranged, printed and sold the 2TM Cookbook for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
 
Centrepoint Tamworth donated the funds for the printing costs, which meant that 100% of all sales went directly to the chopper.
 
The 40-page, full colour glossy cookbook featured the favourite recipes from many of Tamworth’s much loved celebrities and identities, including Dolly Parton, Kylie Gillies, Belinda Giblin, Felicity Urquhart, Adam Harvey and many more who have had a direct contact with the town.
 
On the 4th of March 2021, 2TM and Centrepoint Tamworth handed over the official cheque for the first print run of the cookbook, which totalled $8020
 
General Manager of 2TM, Nikki Kenwrick says, “It was a fantastic opportunity for 2TM to celebrate it’s 85th birthday by being able to assist in raising funds for this essential service to Tamworth when Covid-19 restrictions put a halt to their usual fund-raising events. The Cookbook has been a huge success and now, a year later, we are still getting regular sales of the book, with more funds to hand-over to the service each week.’
 
Plans are now underway for a second print run as interest in the book continues.
