2GB newsreader Natalie Peters has been diagnosed with coronavirus.
After returning from overseas she isolated herself and, in her first week of isolation, developed symptoms then took a drive-thru test that came back positive.
“I can’t tell you how relieved I’m feeling right now that I’ve not been wandering around the streets of Sydney for the past 11 days.
“I’ve been strict with my isolation and that’s the thing that stops me from making it worse.”
“My biggest fear is not me getting sick, it’s my parents, and other people, so I’m staying put till I get advice that I’m fine. It feels like the responsible thing to do.”
She became aware of her sickness when she started to feel very cold, then began waking up with hot sweats and fever.
“I felt really fatigued walking from one room to the next. I was aching, had a runny nose… but it’s been mild so I have been really lucky,” she told Ray Hadley today.
