Last Friday, the second annual Kennedy Awards were held in the new ballroom at Royal Randwick Racecourse. Almost 600 people attended including NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell, NSW Police Comissioner Andrew Scipione.
This Kennedy Awards was devised to recognize journalism excellence in NSW while raising funds for the children’s cancer charity Redkite and the Aboriginal Medical Service at Redfern.
2GB almost singlehandedly flew the flag for radio with the ABC the only other broadcaster to be called to the podium.
