1D fan gets special treatment thanks to Hot FM Cairns

One Direction fan Janice is in Melbourne tonight enjoying the biggest treat of her young life.

She flew from Cairns to watch the 1D concert thanks to Hot FM 103.5, after her teacher wrote to Hot 103.5 breakfast presenters Stace & Elliott requesting help.

Janice, who has cerebral palsy, tried for tickets to the big concert, but missed out. That’s when her teacher wrote to the radio station.

After receiving the note about her plight, Stace and Elliott mobilised their contacts, including network colleague Jules Lund, and managed to get her flights, accommodation and a ticket.

Janice and her mum Alice also got to meet Jules.

She has had a great day in Melbourne according to one of her carers Bernard, who wrote on the Hot FM facebook page.
