10 year old Josh takes over 100.9 Sea FM

Since radioinfo uncovered 10 year-old Josh Agnew (story here), the youngest radio station General Manager and perhaps announcer in Australia, he’s been in hot demand.

Hobart’s local newspaper, The Mercury picked up on our story and reported on Josh’s efforts to crowd-fund for new equipment for his radio station JNET Radio Australia.

It was running 24/7 until a month ago when the server in France was destroyed.

Since then, JNET has been offline and Josh needed to upgrade the computer system to continue broadcasting.

After appearing on 101.7 HO FM, Heart 107.3, 100.9 Sea FM plus Win TV the pint-sized jock raised over $1600.

While the server has since been given to him he’s used the money to order TuneTracker, an audio processor and OB equipment.

So impressed with Josh, 100.9 Sea FM invited him back to broadcast this morning on the breakfast show with Paul and Woody.

Take a listen to one of his breaks from this morning.
