ARN have announced their Survey Break schedule

ARN stations have released their broadcasting schedule for the upcoming survey break with only some of their breakfast teams opting to take a break while the rest will stay onair. 
 
The Kyle & Jackie O Show will showcase their best moments, and extend the Hour of Power at 8am, 12pm and 6pm and WSFM’s Jonesy & Amanda have curated Jonesy & Amanda’s Light Relief which will air the top moments of 2020 so far.
 

Anthony Xydis is leaving ARN

ARN’s Chief Marketing Officer Anthony Xydis is leaving after coming to a mutual agreement with company.

Of his decision to leave the business after 7 years, Anthony said:

“I've had an incredible seven years at ARN. I've worked with some wonderful people across the business, including our great business partners. I am very proud of all the achievements I've been able to contribute to as part of the executive team and the amazing brand and marketing team.

WSFMJonesy & Amanda reflected on how much life in Australia has changed over the past week and the struggles many people are now facing as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
 
“I want to run away and put my head in the sand, and I can’t and nobody can,” Amanda said.
 
Jonesy added, “I went pass the Ryde Centrelink office yesterday and it just broke my heart to see all those people just queued around the block and you really feel for them, what can we do for you?”

Mike Byrne is the new CD for WSFM

ARN has appointed Mike Byrne as the new Content Director for WSFM. He commenced his new role today.
 
Mike joins ARN from his previous role as Group Content Director at Triple M Newcastle (KOFM) and hit1069 (NXFM).

Scott Muller finishes with WSFM

WSFM Content Director, Scott Muller, will leave ARN after two years in the position.

An ARN spokesperson has told radioinfo:

"Scott Muller’s fixed term contract as WSFM’s Content Director has come to an end and he will leave the business. ARN thank Scott for his contribution to the station and for his achievements over the past two years.

"We’ll share more details about the WSFM content team in the coming weeks.”

Fitzy & Wippa stitch up radio rivals Jonsey & Amanda.

At a recent charity auction for ‘Save Our Sons’, Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa saw a ‘Jonsey & Amanda Meet and Greet’ WSFM station tour up for auction and convinced producer Lucy’s husband to secretly purchase it for them.
 
They were toying with using prosthetics but as Fitzy’s allergic to latex and 6”6 tall they decided to instead recruit Jett, 12, to go in under the guise of a ‘school project’ with a list of questions from the class.
 

Jonesy & Amanda give one listener a chance at $10 million

WSFM’s Jonesy & Amanda put listener Elsa in an enviable, but also tough, position of making a potentially life changing decision live on air, by giving her the best chance anyone in the world has ever had of winning $10 Million, a one in 1000 chance.

It was all part of WSFM’s $10 Million Win What You Want competition and Elsa was chosen from thousands of hopeful entrants and given the chance to win big.
