DAB/DAB+ digital radio sales reach 75 million worldwide

WorldDAB’s latest market report reveals that by the end of Q4 2018, over 75 million consumer and automotive DAB/DAB+ receivers had been sold in Europe and Asia Pacific, up from 65 million in Q4 2017 with 4,733,000 having been sold in Australia.

WorldDAB announces workshop agenda for RadioAsia 2017

WorldDAB's DAB+ workshop, taking place at the start of RadioAsia 2017 in Bangkok, has been revealed.

With Thailand recently announcing plans to launch digital radio in 2018, the programme includes key speakers from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). The workshop takes place from 09:00-12:30 on April 26th to 28th.

UK Minister of State for Culture and the Digital Economy, Ed Vaizey, and Dorothee Bär, German Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI), have set out their shared vision for radio's digital future. 

Speaking to an international audience of over 200 radio experts at the WorldDAB General Assembly in London, the two Ministers emphasised their commitment to digital radio and the importance of working together to accelerate the growth of DAB in Europe.
