Edison Research and Triton Digital's 2020 Infinite Dial webinar release of the survey was held in the early hours this morning Australian time and contains some interesting results for radio.
 
While AM/FM radio listening in cars remains steady and continues to attract 81% of US adults as the most used audio source, Online radio jumped from 28%-33%, retaining its lead over podcasts (28%).
 
CD players continued to decline, down to 41%.
 

Only two-thirds of Americans have at least one radio in their home

New information from the Infinite Dial 2020 from Edison Research and Triton Digital shows that 68% of all Americans say they have at least one radio in their home.

The average home now has 1.5 radios, down from double that number in 2008, while in that same year only 4% of Americans reported having no radio in their home, as compared to 32% today.

The first Australian Podcast Ranker results for 2020 published by Triton Digital show the immediate impact the inclusion of overseas podcasts by Whooshkaa and ARN's iHeartPodcast Network have had.
 

Catch up podcasts for radio shows hold nine of the top 20 spots in the latest Australian Podcast Ranker results published by Triton Digital.
 
While Hamish and Andy hang onto the top spot, Sky News - News Bulletins and The Howie Games have moved into the top three.
 
Kate Tim & Marty remain at the top of the catch-up podcasts, while SEN Breakfast continues to perform well finishing inside the top ten overall.
