Big changes for Hit network regional breakfast shows from Monday

SCA has announced that it will introduce statewide breakfast shows across its national Hit Network of regional stations from Monday 24 August, with some announcers losing their jobs.

The Hit Network stations in Western Australia have already successfully adopted this approach with a statewide breakfast show airing weekdays, and now, the rest of the regional network in NSW, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia will follow with the exception of Newcastle, the Gold Coast and Hobart stations.

Sean ‘Flan’ Flanagan joins The Goldie’s 92.5 Triple M

Former #1 breakfast host Sean ‘Flan’ Flanagan will return to the Triple M Network from Monday 31 August, joining The Goldie’s 92.5 Triple M breakfast team alongside Bridget ‘Bridge’ Brousard and Peter ‘Spida’ Everitt for the Bridge & Spida Now with Flan show.

No stranger to the network, Flan joins the Triple M family once again with over 20 years of radio history on his impressive resume.

Music legend, Bruce Springsteen will host Saturday nights on Triple M

SCA’s audiences listen longer and more often with double digit growth in live radio streaming

SCA has just released data showing that their audiences continue to embrace digital radio platforms and are listening longer and more often.
 
According to the data, SCA audiences have reached a new milestone of 10.1 million listening hours in July.
 
More people are tuning into Hit and Triple M than ever before, with live radio streaming increasing by 20% year on year to 1.1 million listeners* and catch up radio jumping 80% year on year to 3.5 million* downloads.
 

Danny Lakey joins the Triple M Network

Danny Lakey will move from his role as late-nights host on the Hit Network to cross over to the Triple M Network.
 
Danny, who will head up a new national night time show across the network, is no stranger to Triple M having occasionally turned up to try his hand at being a boundary rider for Triple M Footy’s Swans and GWS home games over the past couple of years.
 
The new show will be based around Danny’s unique personality and lifestyle, with a 90’s and New Rock soundtrack.
 

Triple M's Garage Session will be a killer

The Killers are joining Triple M’s Garage Session stage to perform some of their much-loved hits.
 
Listeners from around the country can win their way to the session by tuning into Kennedy Molloy.
 
The past few months have seen the Triple M garage host some epic international performances with Triple M music royalty Rob Thomas, Amy Lee from Evanescence, and Aussie band Something For Kate all gracing the stage.
 

Triple M 90s to launch on DAB+

As the Triple M Network celebrates it 4Oth birthday, they are going back to the nineties with a dedicated station, Triple M 90s, launching on Monday July 20 on the Triple M app and DAB+ radio.
 
Triple M 90s will celebrate a pivotal era for Triple M’s music history, featuring a plethora of the best 90s tracks, some of which haven’t been heard on the radio in many years.
