Danny ‘Spud’ Frawley’s great radio mates will reunite this Saturday afternoon with Triple M and 1116 SEN to simulcast a special edition of The Saturday Rub in a tribute to the life of the St Kilda champion and larger-than-life media figure.

Triple M’s Hot Breakfast celebrates a decade onair this week having started on September 8, 2009 with Eddie McGuire, Luke Darcy, Tony Moclair and Mieke Buchan.
 
The breakfast radio show forged new ground with a clever, almost talkback radio show alongside Triple M’s unmistakable FM heritage of sport, rock music and comedy.
 
In 2011 Mick Molloy joined the team and was replaced by Wil Anderson in 2017.
 

Sarah Maree Cameron joins Triple M

On Monday, July 1, in support of Beyond Blue, Triple M is not talking so that others can.
 
From 6am – 6pm there will be no radio shows, no ads, no news or traffic reports on Triple M Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane, instead, the stations  are using the space where they’d normally talk, to encourage men and women to talk to their mates, family or a colleague about mental health and work on reducing men’s suicide.
 

Triple M wrestle with a new podcast, Top Rope

Triple M has launched right off the top rope with their new wrestling podcast, and they didn’t have to look far to find its hosts.
 
Top Rope sees Andrew Rose and Kris Gale (of Triple M Sydney’s Weekend Legends) and David Nash (Triple M Brisbane’s afternoons announcer) team up to create a podcast for the wrestling fanatics, the casual fans and those who fell out of love with wrestling and need a reason to reconnect.
 

FOX and Triple M launch inaugural partnership with St Kilda Festival

The annual St Kilda Festival is a foreshore institution with an annual attendance of over 400,000 people, and this year both Fox FM and Triple M will be joint partners for the first time.
 
Taking place this Sunday February 10, the festival will feature seven stages of fantastic free live music along with markets, food stalls, and free activities for all ages with LIVE broadcasts from the  two Melbourne radio stations, The Fox and Triple M.

Mark Irvine moves to Drive on the Gold Coast

94.1FM Gold Coast has a new Drive host, moving Mark “Irvy” Irvine from weekends to weekdays.

 
Mark is a Brisbane boy who spent most of his free time on the Gold Coast (granted that was as a teenager in the 70s!) before going to Melbourne to join the legendary 3XY where he spent 4 years working with the Shirley Strachan from Skyhooks.

MMM Hot Breakfast team gets superstar support for local Melbourne boy, Will

Triple M Melbourne’s Hot Breakfast team of Eddie McGuire, Mick Molloy and Luke Darcy gathered together the US Super Bowl’s most prominent players to deliver a message to local Melbourne boy Will, who suffered a serious neck injury in January while jumping from the Half Moon Bay pier.

 

Will was taken to the Royal Children’s Hospital where he has remained in intensive care.
