Triple M has issued a media statement following the outcry that has followed comments by Eddie McGuire on air regarding sport's journalist Caroline Wilson.

The issue escalated overnight with the Richmond Football club announcing it will boycott Triple M.

The fall out from Eddie McGuire’s rant, broadcast live on Triple M in which he offered $50 thousand dollars to see sports journalist Caroline Wilson's head held under in an ice pool, continues.
Last night Veteran Richmond forward Jack Riewoldt revealed the Tigers will boycott Triple M radio this week saying the club's move had been driven by "a couple of senior players".

Triple M’s official coverage of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio will include a daily show from Australia’s ‘sporting heroes’ Roy Slaven & H.G Nelson.

These senior sporting correspondents will be covering the festivities for the duration of the Games, August 8 – 19, from 12-1pm Monday to Friday, with HG officially dubbing himself as “Triple M’s senior boxing correspondent.”
