Outright number one Commercial FM station in Sydney and second overall, yes ahead of the ABC.
 
Smooth had a 9.6 share All People 10+ with the nearest FM station KIIS 1065 with an 8% share.
 
“One of the great surveys of all time for many a radio station,” says Nova Entertainment’s Paul Jackson.

Triple M is set to bring Rio live to its listeners through the DAB+ digital radio channel – ‘7 Rio Live’ and across the day on its FM Network.

Triple M is the official FM radio network of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, thanks to a partnership with the Seven Network, and from Saturday August 6 through to Monday August 22, ‘7 Rio Live’ will capture the excitement, emotion and energy from Rio.

It appears Triple M has some plans for their overnight programming, creating a new show on the network.

Content Director Mike "Fitzy" Fitzpatrick has posted a "call to action" on a closed radio industry Facebook group in a search for talent.

"This seems like a place where the best (and sometimes angriest) radio people congregate," says Fitzy.

"I figure the best place to look for great radio talent currently not on radio, is a group like this."

Damon Rielly appointed SCA Brisbane General Manager

Damon Rielly has been appointed General Manager of SCA's Brisbane stations Hit 105 and Triple M, following the departure of Richard Barker on July 15, 2016.

This appointment will see Damon return to SCA, after originally joining the company in 2001 when he quickly worked his way up to become Director of Sales and led both the agency and direct sales teams to ‘Best Station Sales Performance’ awarded by Commercial Radio Australia in 2007.

SCA is #1 radio publisher with 355,784 Average Daily Unique Browsers and #9 Australian Mobile Publisher according to Nielsen’s Market Intelligence.
 
The Hit Network and Triple M’s digital platforms are #1 and #2 radio brands in the country with unique audiences of 660,000 and 535,000 respectively.

ACMA looking into Eddie, but no formal investigation at this time

There is a difference between making inquiries and an investigation when it comes to the regulator ACMA.

Sam Newman has revved up further discussion of Eddie McGuire's comments which have been interpreted as encouraging violence against women. In the discussion has come the calll for ACMA to investigate Eddie and Triple M.

So we checked.

There is a big difference between complaints handling and a formal investigation process, as far as the ACMA is concerned.
