More than 1000 lycra wearing fitness freaks including hit104.1 2dayFM’s Dan Debuf and Maz Compton, packed Moore Park in Sydney on Saturday for a group work out with Fitness and Social Media sensation Kayla Itsines.
 
In partnership with Today’s Hit Network, Kayla Itsines has been on a National Tour hosting free Bootcamps in Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney….next stop Perth.

Brisbane's new hit105 launches

As expected B105 has this morning come into line with SCA’s Today Network dropping its heritage branding and launching as hit105.

The move follows B105 recently marking its 25th Birthday with a reunion and a facebook page full of memories.

Emma Freedman joins Jules Lund on SCA's new Scoopla show

Emma Freedman will join Jules Lund as co-host of the new national nightly Scoopla show, beginning next Monday
 
The new show will be heard weeknights from 6pm on SCA’s Hit Network, covering the world of entertainment and pop culture.
 
Freedman says moving into radio is “really exciting. I guess working with my mate Jules should be OK too! Honestly though, we're both full of energy and can’t wait to get this show on the air"
 

Hit Branding comes to Fox and 2Day

Preparing for the return of the their main breakfast stars next week, 2Day Sydney and Fox Melbourne have reskinned their websites with the Hit imagery developed first at SCA's Adelaide station.

The Fox and 2Day sites now bear the green and red livery of the Hit Brand.

Dan and Maz wave Dubai to the UAE

Last week the Today Network’s Dan and Maz took their national drive show to Dubai in Try Before Dubai, sampling the best of what Dubai has to offer.

Julie King, Director of Dubai Tourism Australia and New Zealand office said, “We brought out the popular duo to create some fantastic and fun content for the youth audience who may have pre-conceived ideas about what Dubai offers.”

The Today Network’s Dan and Maz, will hit the road for one week, broadcasting live from Dubai from Monday 17 to Friday 21 November.

As part of the Try before Dubai broadcast, Dan and Maz will be offering four listeners the chance to join them in the destination to compete in a series of challenges which will ultimately see one team win an extended luxury holiday in the city.

While in Dubai, there will be daily challenges for the winning teams, set in a mini Amazing Race-esque style competition with one team will be sent home each day.

Hamish and Andy back in Drive, Dan and Maz take over 2Day Breakfast

Hamish and Andy will be returning to the Today network's national 4-6pm Drive slot from July 2015.

Until then, Jules Lund will host the national Drive show from January to July 2015.

January 2015 will also see Dan and Maz make the leap into the hot seat of 2Day FM Breakfast. Mike Christian will also move to Sydney with Dan and Maz, continuing as anchor for the show.

Southern Cross Media made a Net Loss After Tax of $296 million, but the poor result was significantly impacted by non-cash impairment charge of $393 million to account for the decline in viewing of the company's Channel Ten affiliated regional tv network.

As reported previously, with the impairment charges removed, Net Profit After Tax (before significant items) was $80 million. The board declared a final fully-franked dividend of 3 cents per share, making dividend payments 7.5 cents per share for the full year.
