Move over X-Factor and AGT – SYN’s “Radio Star” has the goods

Sunday 25 August, 2013

Radio Star is an Australian first - a live, weekly reality show on community youth station SYN in which eight brave media makers, all under the age of 26, are given a weekly theme and then challenged to make the best radio show possible.

Now into its fourth week, each week SYN’s judges will aircheck each team live on air, before scoring the teams on creativity, technical proficiency, presenting flair, hitting the target audience, and sticking to the theme.

Costello junior more into radio than politics

Monday 26 February, 2007

While his old man spent his university years in the political and the debating societies, Peter Costello’s son, Seb Costello has been spending his time on air at a radio station, SYN FM.

Young Costello, who hosts breakfast shifts on the Melbourne community youth station, thinks his career lies more in media than politics, unlike his Federal Treasurer father.

Costello the younger is a second-year RMIT communications student who is interested in radio presenting and reporting.
