This week several radio industry leaders have given updates on how their companies are going during the COVID-19 pandemic. Steve Ahern examines the evolving business situation.
Presenters at SCA's Triple M and Hit stations in Toowoomba will be broadcasting from alternative locations after asbestos was discovered in their building.
"We will be on air from different locations, but we continue to run the business as usual... morale is high," General Manager Zac Manscawen has told radioinfo.
Manscawen says the station's building at 100 Margaret Street was undergoing routine repairs when the asbestos was found.
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has, after almost seven months, finalised their investigation in to 2HC Coffs Harbour, 2EL Orange and 2PM Kempsey and found that they failed to broadcast the minimum requirement of three hours of local content in each of their respective markets on 8 September 2009.
