SCA has sold its Bunbury station to SEN, as predicted by radioinfo in March. It was required to divest this station due to market limitation rules.

Spirit Radio and Red FM dominate the first survey for Port Hedland and Broome with the radio station listened to the most in the Western Australian towns Spirit Radio (36.0) and Red FM (26.4) out in front of triple j (16.4), ABC Kimberley (8.3) and ABC Pilbara (4.6)

Justin Thomson’s World Tour of Country is returning to the airwaves across WA, SA, VIC and the NT with two hours of modern country music on the Spirit Radio Network and Flow FM, this weekend.

Justin  launched the show in 2015 with the aim to change the mindset that country is boring.

1^st year Diploma student Daniel Huddy has been recruited by Redwave Media home of Red FM & the Spirit Radio Network in WA.
 
Currently Dan is the Breakfast Host/Producer of Boom’s Big Breakfast on his college station Boom Radio.
 
Dan has been hired in an Announcer/Panel Op and Production assistant capacity.

Justin Thomson’s World Tour of Country has been on-air in Western Australia for twelve weeks and after a positive response from WA listeners has been extended from its usual one hour time slot, to two hours every Sunday night.

The only program of its kind on commercial radio in Western Australia, the extended show gives Justin an opportunity to showcase more of the best modern country and invite a wider range of musical guests.

West Australian broadcaster Justin Thomson is on a mission to raise the profile of modern Country Music to commercial radio listeners. 

He is hosting World Tour of Country, a new program on the Spirit Radio Network that will showcase Country Music from around the world.
