SEN expands into Sydney and purchases 2CH for $11 million

SEN has expended into Sydney, Australia’s largest radio advertising market, with the acquisition of 2CH 1170 AM in a deal worth  $11.2 million. 

The company also plans to acquire an additional licence on 1539 AM Sydney.

Ox and Marco drop legal action against SEN

David Schwarz and Mark Allen (Ox and Marco) have dropped their legal action against their former station SEN.

The pair, who were axed from SEN in December last year, are now heard in the Drive shift on Macquarie Sports Radio

Melbourne's SEN is set to be rolled out nationally, after its merger with Craig Hutchison's Crocmedia is confirmed at a general meeting for shareholders of Pacific Star Network on Thursday. 

Mick Malthouse returns to radio after SEN axing

Following Craig Hutchison's SEN shakeup, three-time AFL premiership coach Malthouse has found a new home at the ABC, where he will do special comments for select games, mainly on Thursday nights, according to News Corp reports. 

After being sacked as Carlton coach, Malthouse joined SEN in 2016.

The departure of Gerard Whateley from the ABC has seen a reshuffle at the national broadcaster.  

Axed SEN commentator Matt Granland joins 3AW

Granland was told last week by SEN he'd no longer be calling games on Friday night, while he also lost weekend commentating spots and fill in roles during the summer.
