Australian radio industry represented in Cannes

Southern Cross Austereo’s Matt Dickson will represent the Australian radio industry in Cannes next month, with his selection as a juror on the Cannes Lions radio jury panel.

Matt is currently Head of Creativity for The Studio, SCA’s client creative services unit. His work has been awarded both nationally and internationally on many prior occasions.

SCA confirms departure of Wade Kingsley

SCA has confirmed  Wade Kingsley will finish up in his role as Head of The Studio, following a decision to embark on his own business venture. 

However, Wade will continue to work with SCA across a number of areas.  

An SCA spokesperson told radioinfo,  "We will have further news on how and in what capacity this will happen"

National advertisers are being urged to take a fresh look at regional radio in 2017 as the industry prepares to undertake more than 30 regional radio surveys across Australia this year and rolls out software to provide ad agencies with free access to the data.
Commercial Radio Australia CEO Joan Warner said the initiatives will give media agencies easy access to up-to-date and compelling data on radio audiences across regional Australia.

Southern Cross Austereo profit up 11 percent

Southern Cross Austereo has just released its financial results for the half year to December 2016,

Net profit (NPAT) up 11.8%, to $48.5 million on revenue of $351.8 million.

There were a couple of abnormal items during the second half of 2016, including a new TV program supply deal with Channel 9 and the acquisition of Authentic Entertainment.
