RadioDays Asia postponed and moved to next year

Radiodays Asia has announced that the conference planned for 2020 has, due to the on-going Coronavirus crisis, been postponed until next year, 2021.
The new dates announced for the conference are 24 - 25 March 2021.

The conference will be held in the same country and venue; the Istana Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

All tickets purchased for Radiodays Asia 2020 are valid for the new dates in March 2021.




Topical meet up discusses regulation #RDAsia19

One innovative highlight of the first Radio Days Asia conference was the ' Topical Meet-ups'.

During the mid-morning coffee and tea break on day one delegates got the hands on opportunity to discuss their favourite aspect of radio with like minded individuals along with an expert moderator.

Meet - ups included the following themes;  Technology , Increasing revenue , Women in radio, Radio content innovation ,  fake news and Podcasters.

Michael Hill from Radioplayer says “defending the dash board for radio” must be one of the world radio industry’s biggest priorities.

“We have to work together globally and establish standards and interfaces. We also have to offer plug and play and pitch a vision to the global car companies.

“Car companies think globally, so we have to link up as radio across the world to go forward with our own strategies. We cannot rely on Google, Amazon and Tune to help radio, they have their own business agendas.”

“It is tempting to assume that we have listeners by the ears because they can’t skip radio… but our listeners will still skip ads mentally if the creative is not good enough.

“Radio advertising is not about spots on air, it is about communication,” says Ralph van Dijk from Eardrum.

Ralph urges stations to make ads that will make their listeners go from “passive hearing to active listening.”
