Chris Dzelde and Mel Dzelde have resigned from Grant Broadcasters stations 5MU and Power FM in South Australia.
The husband and wife duo announced the news on social media on Tuesday 15 September after spending four months on leave in order for Mel to fight stage 4 rectal cancer.
Wave FM Wollongong confirmed today that Damien Leith will be joining the Breakfast team, Jade, Straney with Damien Leith.
Since winning Australian Idol in 2006, Damien has stamped his mark on the Australian entertainment scene as a multi-talented singer, songwriter, producer, author, TV host and for the past 2 years co-host of the Power FM breakfast programme in Muswellbrook, another Grant Broadcasters owned radio station.
5MU’s Ian Wright is making a sea change move after 49 years in radio and taking on the Station Managers role at Happy FM, Victor Harbor, SA.
Ian says, “At the ripe young age of 66 and in my 49th year in radio, the time and opportunity to make a move is spot on. The 'Station Manager' role for me at Happy FM is multifaceted, both 'on' and 'off air'.

Currently the Breakfast Show at Power FM in SA with Kristel Dally and DamonAdams has been split up due to social distancing measures.

In an example of radio industry cooperation during adversity, commercial network Grant Broadcasters is working with the ABC on the South Coast of NSW to keep transmissions on air during the fires in that area.
As fires raged through the area last week, the ABC’s Mt Wandera transmission site at Bateman's Bay was disabled by flames (see pictures below) and is expected to take some time to repair.
Grace Garde will join Hobart’s Hit100.9 to host workdays from 1pm-3pm from Monday June 17.
Grace began her radio career at Southern Cross Austereo Gosford in promotions before moving to her most recent gig on Power FM in Nowra after graduating from AFTRS in 2017.
Adelaide Broadcaster, Journalist and Producer Jennie Lenman has accepted the position of Journalist/Newsreader at 5MU & Power FM and host of ‘SA Today’ on 5MU, taking over from Claire Murphy who has accepted a position in Sydney.
