Fishy beginning for those hooked by new podcast

Keen to start fishing? The boys from the popular TV fishing show, Hook, Line and Sinker, have reeled in a big one, launching a brand-new podcast series to help Aussies tackle the basics of one of Australians favourite recreational sports.

The series encourages families and children to spend more quality time together outdoors, exploring our great rivers, oceans and waterways.

It is perhaps a return to ways of old.

Vinyl revenue grew by 8% in 2018. Print book markets expanded as newspapers and magazines sales contracted and the audiobook market in the UK alone was worth around US $85 million.

The costs of producing audiobooks and podcasts are enticing too, with the removal of printing costs and reduction in advances and promotion. Indeed, the biggest cost is time.

Hamish & Andy still at the top: Australian Podcast Ranker

Catch up podcasts for radio shows hold nine of the top 20 spots in the latest Australian Podcast Ranker results published by Triton Digital.
 
While Hamish and Andy hang onto the top spot, Sky News - News Bulletins and The Howie Games have moved into the top three.
 
Kate Tim & Marty remain at the top of the catch-up podcasts, while SEN Breakfast continues to perform well finishing inside the top ten overall.

Each episode will be part personal journey update, and part interview.
 

Ovarshare podcast launched to coincide with ovarian cancer awareness month

NOVA Entertainment has launched a new podcast series, Ovarshare with the launch date chosen to coincide with ovarian awareness month (Feb) and Teal Ribbon Day on 26 February.
 
Created by Kristen Larsen, the podcast shares her story, and those of her late friends as well as campaigning to raise over a million dollars for Ovarian cancer research and awareness through the fundraising page Kristen’s Living Legacy.
