Andrew Denton has teamed up with the Wheeler Centre in Melbourne to present a series of podcasts called Better Off Dead, which launches this week.

Audiocraft is a day for radio producers, podcasters and documentary storytellers to come together and talk, listen, and learn about making great stories with sound.
 
Practical workshops and discussions will be led by innovators from public, community and independent radio.
 
They’ll explore narrative techniques, podcasting nuts and bolts, creative sound design, the rules of making good radio and when to break them. 
 
The conference is happening at Redfern’s 107 Projects on Saturday March 5th 2016.

Serial podcast moves exclusively to Pandora for second season

The ground breaking podcast Serial, which has almost single handedly revived the long form audio documentary and drama genre, is breaking new ground again.

The second series of the podcast will be available exclusively on Pandora, in a deal done between the producers and the streaming service.

ABC Radio podcast figures: 6.2 million listeners last month

With the recent release of streaming figures for SCA and iHeartRadio, it is interesting to compare those numbers with what is happening at ABC Radio.
 
While not publicly released, the ABC’s internal figures show the importance of podcasts to the national broadcaster.
 

They’re back: Tim Lee and Biggzy return

Four years after leaving the Hot 30 Countdown and parting ways Tim Lee and Carla "Biggzy" Bignasca are getting the band back together.
 
The pair launched their first podcast over the weekend on a series of social media platforms, with more to come. But for the moment the pair can only be heard online.     
 
Posting on their new Facebook page about their comeback the pair said:
