Drive Live is back for 2020

PBS 106.7FM’s Drive Live is back for its tenth year, from Monday February 3 until Friday February 7, between 5 and 7 every night.
The 2020 edition of Drive Live delivers a line-up of local artists currently dominating international and Australian stages with a free series of in-studio performances feature three acts performing daily to a lucky studio audience and a live-to-air broadcast via the PBS 106.7FM frequency.

Saxophonist and composer Josh Kelly has been selected as the recipient of the PBS Young Elder of Jazz Award for 2019, presented by PBS 106.7FM, in conjunction with the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.
Josh works across the broad spectrum of jazz and has regularly performed locally and internationally with groups and artists as diverse as 30/70 Collective, Allysha Joy and his own jazz trio.

Following yesterday's report in radioinfo, National Australia Bank has agreed to compensate Melbourne community radio station PBS 106.7FM for losses incurred during a nationwide outage. 

PBS 106.7 secures $500k in funding from the Victorian State Government

A number of community radio stations have interrupted their regular programming today to celebrate the diversity and independence of community radio.

We reported yesterday that Triple R in Melbourne is dedicating all of today's programming to Keep Community Radio Day Of Action. You can expect to hear lots of your favourite announcers, special guests and live performances throughout the day to remind you of just how important this campaign is to the future of community radio as a whole. 

International Women's Day celebrations on radio

Radio stations across Australia have been celebrating International Women’s Day today (March 8th) and this year’s theme is Pledge For Parity.

On Perth's hit92.9 Breakfast show, Heidi kicked Will and Woody out of the studios this morning and had prominent females jump on board to co-host with her such as Netballer Shae Brown, Faustina Agolley aka 'Fuzzy,' presenter Emma Freedman and many more. Listen to the audio below.

New Breakfast Spread to launch Tuesday on PBS 106.7

Not to be outdone by bigger Melbourne stations, PBS 106.7 FM will launch a new version of their breakfast program next Tuesday.

‘The Breakfast Spread’ for 2014 will feature long time host Crispi, joined by new kid on the block Cat - and go to air every weekday from 6- 9am.

As the longest serving Breakfast Spread host since the program began over a decade ago, listeners will be familiar with Crispi’s eclectic taste in rock and indie music.
