Luke Minto and Antonell Doyle get new roles at Nova

Nova Entertainment announced the appointment of two key roles within the commercial team, with Luke Minto promoted to Group Commercial Director and Antonell Doyle appointed as Perth Commercial Director.
 
Minto has held the position of Sydney Commercial Director for seven years and has worked in various senior commercial roles within Nova Entertainment since joining the business in 2004.

Cathy’s appointment follows the announcement from oOH!media founder and CEO Brendon Cook that he was stepping away from the role, though he will stay with the business until the end of 2021.

Joel Creasey to join Nova’s national drive show with Kate and Tim

Comedian Joel Creasey will join Kate Ritchie and Tim Blackwell as Nova’s Kate, Tim & Joel drive show from next month.

He has just been revealed on air in today's show as the replacement for Marty Sheargold.

Speaking to radioinfo earlier today, Joel told us he feels comfortable with Kate and Tim because they have been friends for some time.

Job losses at Nova's Goat

Nova Entertainment's youth digital platform Goat is losing several staff as part of the company's redundancy process.

The mobile app, targeted to millennials, launched in 2018 and will continue to operate, but with restructured content and a different way of operating.

Nova staff face redundancies

Nova Entertainment expects advertising revenue to be tight for the next 18 months, so has reluctantly moved to initiate some redundancies.

Nova CEO Cathy O'Connor has told radioinfo that, like most other companies, Nova Entertainment has been impacted by the COVID-19 crisis "with an estimated fall in revenue of over 25 per cent this year."

She says the media industry "has been particularly hard hit and we expect the downturn to continue for the next twelve to eighteen months."

Ruby got her start at TAFE NSW in 2014 and the 29-year-old, who has already cemented herself as a podcast producer extraordinaire, has also recently been announced as the new host of NOVA’s 'The Babble' podcast with Matty J.
