Nova 106.9’s David “Luttsy” Lutteral invited Brisbane Broncos’ and State of Origin player Corey Oates to join him and hundreds of students at Nundah State School this morning to channel their inner cowboys while singing the smash hit 'Old Town Road.'
Nova 106.9 is hosting the Brisbane school singing challenge inspired by the video that went viral of students in the USA who had Lil Nas X himself turn up for their assembly to sing his mega hit.

Brendon ‘Whippy’ Dangar will be returning to the sunny Gold Coast as Content Director of 1029 Hot Tomato.

Whippy started in radio in his home town in Newcastle, then went onto Brisbane with the third stop being on the Gold Coast back in the early 2000’s, has held key roles on and off the air in a number of metropolitan markets and worked at all three cap city networks including roles of Assistant Content Director at NOVA 106.9 in Brisbane and Content Director at KIIS 101.1 in Melbourne.

Nova 106.9’s Brisbane breakfast show Ash, Kip, Luttsy & Susie O’Neill, has a new Executive Producer.
Camille Cannings has been appointed to the role while Samantha Rose (Sam) Spence is on maternity leave.
Camille is no stranger to the Nova Brisbane family having worked there previously for over four years.

Susie took up breakfast broadcasting with the Nova team in 2015 but until now has resisted Ash, Kip & Luttsy's lobbying for her to embrace the five-day work-week.

Pink on the move- Aircheck Survey

In its fifth week on air, Pink’s ‘A Million Dreams’ jumped 8 places to No.13 with 476 spins on Aircheck’s National Radio Airplay Chart.
The move was primarily caused by the Hit network upping spins by 48%. KIIS101 Melbourne spun the track the most for the second week in a row with 37 spins, followed by sister station in Sydney, KIIS1065 adding 34 plays.  

NOVA 106.9 supports students of Morningside State School

Brisbane’s Nova 106.9 threw its support behind the students of Morningside State School after a fire engulfed the primary school early Tuesday morning, destroying at least three historic buildings.
The radio station teamed up with McDonald’s and hosted a free breakfast at Morningside Panthers AFL Club where shuttle buses transported the students to nearby Balmoral State High School where they will be based for the remainder of the week.
